Met Dept has predicted that intermittent rain will continue next 24 hours


Lahore: Rain continues in various cities of Punjab, including Lahore, and clouds also rained in Karachi.
In the provincial capital, Mall Road, Abbot Road, Garhi Shahu, Railway Station, Laxmi Chowk, Davis Road, Canal Road, Jail Road, Model Town, Johar Town, and other areas received showers of rain. Areas of Township, Johar Town, Link Road, Model Town Ferozepur Road, as well as around Pico Mor, Pindi Stop, Quaid-e-Azam Industrial Estate, and Akbar Chowk experienced rain. After the rain, the weather in the city became pleasant, and cool winds blew.
The Meteorological Department has predicted that intermittent rain will continue in the city during the next 24 hours.
Other cities of Punjab, Multan, Faisalabad, Khanewal, Vehari, Pir Mahal, Bahawalpur, and Dunyapur received rain. Thunderstorms also continued in Sahiwal, Pakpattan, and Mian Channu. Due to the rain, water accumulated in low-lying areas, and power was cut off due to feeder trips.
On the other hand, there was heavy and light rain in Karachi late last night. Clouds rained in Orangi Town, New Karachi, Manghopir, Baldia, and Surjani. Light rain fell in Nazimabad, North Nazimabad, and the Buffer Zone. It drizzled in Gulshan-e-Iqbal, Gulistan-e-Jauhar, and the surrounding areas.
Due to the rain, power supply was suspended in many areas due to feeder trips, causing severe hardship to the citizens.
The weather also became pleasant in various cities of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Azad Kashmir due to heavy rains. The Meteorological Department has predicted more rain. Light rain continued intermittently in Shabqadar and adjoining areas of Charsadda late last night. Intermittent rain fell in the plains of Swat.
The first snowfall of winter in the mountains of Kalam and Malam Jabba in the upper reaches of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa brought down the temperature significantly.
Heavy rain also fell in Mansehra and Muzaffarabad late last night.
