Lahore: The Meteorological Department has predicted more rain with strong winds and thunderstorms in various areas.
According to the Meteorological Department, the weather is likely to remain dry in other parts of the country, but there is a possibility of more rain with strong winds and thunderstorms at a few places in Gilgit-Baltistan, Kashmir, and adjacent hilly areas.
The weather is likely to remain dry and partly cloudy in Islamabad. Rain is expected at a few places in Rawalpindi, Murree, Galiyat, Chakwal, Jhelum, Gujrat, Lahore, Sialkot, Narowal, and Wazirabad.
The coastal areas of Balochistan are expected to remain partly cloudy, while the weather is likely to remain hot and dry in most districts of Sindh.
Rain is expected in Deir, Chitral, Swat, Kohistan, Shangla, and Battagram. Thundershowers and snowfall in the mountains are likely in Gilgit-Baltistan. According to the Meteorological Department, more thundershowers are expected in Azad Kashmir.
During the last 24 hours, Punjab, Kashmir, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Gilgit-Baltistan received strong winds and thundershowers, while heavy rain fell at a few places, while the weather remained hot and dry in other parts of the country.
On the other hand, PDMA Punjab has issued an alert for an increase in the flow of rivers due to rain. According to PDMA, there is a possibility of an increase in the flow of water in the Mangla upstream of the Jhelum River, which may cause moderate flooding in the Mangla upstream within 24 hours.
