PTA launches nationwide awareness campaign against fake websites, online jobs
PTA officials said that agencies of enemy countries are trying to obtain sensitive information from citizens

Islamabad: The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has launched a nationwide awareness campaign against fake websites and online jobs.
To expose and foil the conspiracy of enemy countries to steal sensitive information of Pakistanis under the guise of online jobs, the PTA has launched a nationwide awareness campaign against fake websites and fake online jobs.
PTA officials have said that agencies of enemy countries are trying to obtain sensitive information from citizens and information about the location of important institutions through the guise of online jobs. Such fake companies are ensnaring Pakistanis by offering attractive salaries, while jobs are being offered to youth in the name of companies on social media platforms.
Officials said that citizens are being targeted on LinkedIn, Job Gulf, and other similar websites, and attempts are being made to obtain images and locations of national projects under the guise of surveys or research, which can later be used against the country and its citizens.
As a reminder, the PTA said that it continues to issue such general awareness messages at the request of the relevant ministries.
The PTA urges citizens to be responsible, beware of suspicious offers and links, and be aware of the agenda of hostile agencies.
