Dangerous amounts of toxic chemicals were found in the cough syrup


Mumbai: 14 children died in India after drinking cough syrup, leading to a ban on the syrup.
Children died in various states of India after drinking syrup. According to Indian media, the deaths of children due to drinking cough syrup occurred in Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, and Tamil Nadu.
Madhya Pradesh has recorded the highest number of deaths of 11 children after drinking this syrup. After the death of 14 children, cough syrup has been banned in several states of India.
Indian media says that dangerous amounts of toxic chemicals were found in the cough syrup, after which a criminal case has been filed against the pharmaceutical company, and a doctor has also been arrested.
In the case filed against the company, allegations of adulteration of medicines and violation of the Drugs and Cosmetics Act have been made.
