OpenAI turns ChatGPT into a multi-app platform
The aim is to transform the AI chatbot into a conversational app store

(Web Desk): OpenAI is turning ChatGPT into a platform for multiple apps.
The aim is to transform the AI chatbot into a conversational app store.
OpenAI is integrating various third-party apps—such as Booking.com, Canva, Expedia, and Spotify—into ChatGPT. This means that during a task, users will be able to access relevant services without needing to click on any external links.
For example, you could ask ChatGPT to create a new Spotify playlist or book a travel tour through Booking.com, all within the ChatGPT interface.
With a single prompt, the AI chatbot will be able to handle different tasks using integrated services, without leaving ChatGPT.
Users will also be able to bring apps into their conversations based on what they’re working on, making the experience more interactive and productive.
This feature has already been launched for ChatGPT users, although it won’t be available in the European Union for now.
OpenAI has stated that it plans to expand the number of third-party partners in the coming months and will also assist developers in building their own apps.
However, the company has not yet clarified how app developers will earn money through this platform.
Whenever you use a new app within ChatGPT, the AI chatbot will ask for permission and inform you about which of your data will be shared with the app. In some cases, you may also need to connect your account to the app.
