KP Governor confirms receiving Gandapur's resignation

Peshawar: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Faisal Karim Kundi has confirmed receiving the resignation of Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur.

Governor Faisal Karim Kundi received the resignation letter of Ali Amin Gandapur today. The letter was delivered to the Governor’s House by Brigadier (R) Musaddiq Abbasi, the Special Assistant to the Chief Minister on Anti-Corruption.

Musaddiq Abbasi handed over his resignation to the caretaker at the Governor’s House, who formally received it and issued a receipt. The acknowledgement of receipt was marked with the time 2:30 PM.

Speaking exclusively to Geo News, Governor Faisal Karim Kundi said that he received the Chief Minister’s handwritten resignation at 2:30 PM today, dated October 11. He added that after verification and fulfillment of legal and constitutional requirements, formal action would be taken on the resignation.

“My legal team will examine the resignation from constitutional and legal perspectives, and a decision will be made accordingly,” he stated.

In his resignation letter, Ali Amin Gandapur wrote: “I confirm that I have resigned from the office of Chief Minister out of loyalty.”
