DIG Operations Lahore says third phase of anti-illegal immigrants operation is unerway


Lahore: DIG Operations Lahore Faisal Kmaran has said the process of repatriating illegally residing Afghan citizens in the provincial capital to their homeland is underway under the third phase, with the demands of the enforcement of humanity.
In a video statement, he said that an organised and coordinated operations are underway by the Lahore Police in this regard. However, Afghans with valid work and business visas can stay in the city. The police teams would conduct search operations across the city, and legal action would be taken against locals who would provide residential support to illegal immigrants.
In his message to the public, he urged the residents of Lahore to cooperate in the evacuation of foreign nationals and alert Rescue 15 about illegal immigrants.
The DIG said that as many as 550 illegal residents had been repatriated from Lahore, and 5,000 Afghans had voluntarily left the city in 2025.
