A major anti-narcotics operation was subsequently carried out on vessel, resulting in seizure of more than 2,000 kilograms of ice

Karachi: According to the Pakistan Navy, over 2,000 kilograms of methamphetamine (ice), valued at approximately USD 13 million, were seized during a successful operation in the Arabian Sea.
A statement from the Pakistan Navy’s Public Relations Department (DGPR) said that the PN Tabuk, operating as part of the Combined Maritime Forces (CMF) under Saudi leadership, was conducting regional maritime security patrols in support of Combined Task Force 150 when it intercepted a suspicious vessel in the Arabian Sea.
The statement added that a major anti-narcotics operation was subsequently carried out on the vessel, resulting in the seizure of more than 2,000 kilograms of ice. This marks the third consecutive successful operation by PN ships in the past two months.
The Navy noted that these successful operations demonstrate its firm resolve and unwavering commitment to combating illegal smuggling at sea.
The statement further highlighted that the scale and successful execution of the operation not only showcase the professional expertise of the Pakistan Navy but also underscore the effectiveness of international cooperation under the CMF framework.
