PMD predicts cold, dry weather in most parts

Islamabad: Mainly cold and dry weather, with very cold conditions in hilly areas particularly during morning and night, is likely to prevail over most parts of the country during the next twelve hours.

However, partly cloudy weather with light rain and snowfall may occur at isolated places in Gilgit Baltistan.

Smog, while shallow fog in patches (particularly during morning/night hours) may develop over plain areas of Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Temperature of major cities recorded this morning: 

Islamabad nine degree centigrade, Lahore fourteen, Karachi seventeen, Peshawar eight, Quetta two, Gilgit minus-one, Murree five and Muzafarabad six degree centigrade.  

According to the weather forecast for Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir, cold and dry weather is expected in Srinagar, Pulwama, Anantnag, Shopian and Baramula, very cold and dry in Leh and dry weather is expected in Jammu.

Srinagar, Pulwama and Baramula three degree centigrade, Jammu eleven, Leh minus-six, Anantnag and Shopian two degree centigrade.
