Attack occurred as an assembly for first working day of week was being held at main compound

Peshawar: Three Federal Constabulary (FC) men were martyred in a suicide attack on the force’s headquarters in Peshawar’s Saddar area on Monday morning.
The attack occurred on one of the city’s busiest roads just after 8am. Video footage of the incident showed one terrorist, clad in a chaddor, approaching the gate and detonating himself. Seconds later, two other terrorists tried to enter the compound.
The attack occurred as an assembly for the first working day of the week was being held at the main compound.
The Federal Constabulary successfully foiled a suicide attack on its headquarters in Saddar area of Peshawar this morning.
According to CCPO Peshawar, Mian Saeed, three Fitna-al-Khawarij suicide bombers attacked the FC headquarters.
He said one of the bombers blew himself up at the main gate of the headquarters. The other detonated himself at the motorcycle stand, while the third one was successfully neutralized by the FC jawans.
A total of three FC personnel also embraced martyrdom in the suicide explosion.
Five persons including two FC personnel were also injured, who have been shifted to the hospital.
