Muzaffarabad: Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir has said that Kashmir will soon witness the dawn of freedom and that Pakistan will continue to highlight the Kashmir issue at every international forum.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Chief of Defence Forces Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir visited Muzaffarabad, where he was received by the Corps Commander Rawalpindi.
The ISPR spokesperson said that the Field Marshal paid tribute at the Martyrs’ Memorial of Jammu and Kashmir, laid a floral wreath, and offered Fateha for the martyrs.
On the occasion, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir stated that Pakistan’s political, moral, and diplomatic support for the Kashmiri people remains unwavering, adding that Indian atrocities have failed to suppress the struggle and aspirations of the Kashmiri people.
According to ISPR, he further said that Kashmir will soon see the morning of freedom and that the Kashmir issue will continue to be raised at every international forum. He emphasized that the resolution of the Kashmir dispute must be in accordance with United Nations resolutions.
During the visit, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir also praised the professional capabilities of officers and troops deployed in Kashmir, stating that any aggression would be met with an immediate and befitting response, and that the armed forces are fully prepared to counter all kinds of threats.
