Islamabad: Pakistan continues to report a share surge in Covid-19 deaths as threat of delta variant looms large in Pakistan.


According to National Command and Operations Center (NCOC), around 4,934 cases of coronavirus were reported while 102 people succumbed to the disease in the last 24 hours, taking the total death toll to 24,187.
The total number of confirmed cases reached to 1,085,294.
As many as 975,474 patients have recovered from the disease with 4,530 critical cases.
Punjab
The number of patients swelled to 368,195 in the province with 11,292 causalities.
Sindh
The number of infections has surged to 406,109 in the province, while the death toll has reached 6,316.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa
The confirmed cases have surged to 150,026 in the province with 4,604 casualties.
Balochistan
There are 31,341 confirmed cases while 332 patients have died from the infection so far.
AJK and Gilgit-Baltistan
There are 28,347 coronavirus cases in the AJK while the death toll has reached 658. On the other hand, there are 9,043 cases in GB with 161 coronavirus deaths.
Islamabad
There are 92,233 cases in the capital city while 824 people have lost their lives.
