Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar held a telephone conversation with Foreign Minister of the People’s Republic of China, Wang Yi, during which they discussed the current situation in the Middle East in detail.
According to the details, the spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Tahir Andarabi, stated that during the call, both leaders emphasized the urgent need for a ceasefire and restoration of peace in the Middle East and reaffirmed their support for all efforts aimed at regional stability.
The spokesperson added that the discussion also focused on de-escalation, resumption of peace talks, and ensuring the protection of civilians.
Furthermore, both sides highlighted the importance of maintaining security of maritime routes and upholding the principles of the United Nations Charter. Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi appreciated Pakistan’s efforts toward peace and acknowledged its role.
According to the spokesperson, during the telephone conversation, both countries expressed their commitment to continue efforts to resolve all conflicts through dialogue and diplomacy.
