Dr Sarang was a resident of Badin and was performing his duties at a private hospital in Gulistan-e-Jauhar


Karachi: A doctor was shot and killed by unidentified assailants near Mehran Hotel on Monday, police said.
The victim, identified as Dr Sarang, sustained four gunshot wounds to the chest and legs. The bullet to the chest proved fatal.
The police added that the doctor’s wife rushed him to the hospital in a rickshaw while he was in critical condition. However, doctors pronounced him dead upon arrival.
Dr Sarang was a resident of Badin and was performing his duties at a private hospital in Gulistan-e-Jauhar.
Following the completion of legal formalities, the body was handed over to the victim’s brother and has been dispatched to his ancestral hometown for burial.
A police investigation is underway from various angles to determine the motive behind the targeted killing.
