Imam of Masjid-e-Nabawi urges Muslims to forge unity

Web Desk: Over 1.8 million faithful performed the Rukn-e-Azam of Hajj, Wuqoof-e-Arafat, in Maidan-i-Arafat today.

Delivering the Hajj sermon at Masjid-e-Nimrah from the plains of Arafat in Makkah today, Imam of Masjid-e-Nabawi Sheikh Ali Al-Hudhaify urged Muslims to forge unity among themselves.

He stressed the need to fear Allah and pursue piety.

The Imam reminded believers that Islam unites hearts beyond borders, languages and colours. Describing Hajj as a living manifestation of one Ummah standing together before Allah, he said true honour lies in piety, sincerity and Tawheed.

The Imam prayed that Allah Almighty may unite the hearts of Muslims upon truth, accept the Hajj of the pilgrims, and return them safely to their homes. He also prayed for the peace, prosperity and unity of the Muslim Ummah.

Concluding the sermon, the Imam commended the efforts of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman for facilitating the pilgrims.

Later, the Hujjaj offered Zuhr and Asr prayers together.

They will remain in Arafat, spending the entire day in supplication and praying for the welfare of the Muslim Ummah.

After the Maghrib call to prayer, they will proceed to Muzdalifah, where they will offer Maghrib and Isha prayers together and spend the night under the open sky.

They will also collect pebbles from Muzdalifah for the stoning of the devil the following morning.

After offering Fajr prayer at Muzdalifah, they will depart for Mina to perform the remaining Hajj rituals.
