Afghanistan crisis: Bilawal urges PTI to take parliament into confidence
Karachi: Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has urged the government of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) to take parliament into confidence over the current situation unfolding in Pakistan.
While addressing media in Karachi on Tuesday, PPP chairman said that there should be proper implementation on National Action Plan (NAP).
“The present government should not compromise on Pakistan’s security. The government should have the clear cut policy relevant to Afghanistan. Pakistan should retaliate if any terror incident occurs,” he said.
Bilawal further stressed that there are concerns of increasing terrorism in Pakistan adding that Quetta, Karachi and Dasu have been recent hotspots of terrorist attacks.
“Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) and other terrorist organizations attacked armed forces and journalists in past. Pakistan government should not have a soft corner for militants,” he stressed.
Referring to the ongoing crisis in Kabul, PPP chairman said that all stake holders in Afghanistan should work collectively to ensure peace and stability in country.
“We commend the bravery of afghan people and we express solidarity with our afghan brothers and sisters. People in Afghanistan are passing through difficult times. It is holy month of Muharram, we are hopeful that the rights of minorities will be protected there,” he added.
Bilawal further said that all China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) projects should be provided fool-proof security.
“PTI government has to fulfill it constitutional and economic promises,” he said.
