With corruption and rigging in focus PDM to issue whitepaper on govt's 3-year performance: Abbasi
Islamabad: The Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM)-- mainly dominated by PML-N and JUI-F-- will issue a white paper against the three-year performance of the PTI government, PML-N leader Shahid Khaqan Abbasi announced Saturday.

"The whitepaper aims to expose its corruption, prejudiced accountability, and rigging in the elections," he said while addressing a presser following the PDM's meeting.
Abbasai said the evidence is being gathered and a white paper will be presented from the PDM's platform to "expose" the government before the people.
The former premier said "the reason behind the incumbent government's failures is the rigging of the 2018 general elections, and till the time this country's affairs are not in line with the Constitution, the problems of the people cannot be resolved".
"It is crystal clear that democracy cannot flourish in Pakistan till the elections are not transparent and held without interference," he added.
Abbasai said the PDM rejected the government's proposed electoral reforms, including the use of electronic voting machine (EVM), calling such measures "unilateral" and "in contradiction with the Constitution and laws".
The participants, he said, had prepared a schedule for rallies across the country, which would be presented before a meeting to be attended by all party heads.
"The meeting will take place on August 28, and it will finalise the schedule," Abbasi further said.
He further told media that a committee had been constituted to chalk out another "Charter of Pakistan" within six weeks and present it before the PDM's leaders.
"The charter will aim to establish real democracy in the country," the PML-N leader added.
