Never in Pakistan’s history, govt as incompetent as PTI assumed power: Maryam
Islamabad: Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) Vice President Maryam Nawaz Sharif Wednesday said that in history of country there has never been a government as incompetent and insensitive as Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).


Maryam Nawaz appeared before the court which adjourned the hearing of appeals against the sentences of Maryam Nawaz and Captain Safdar.
Talking to media outside the court in Islamabad, PML-N Vice President Maryam Nawaz criticized the government and said the govt has set an example of public enmity.
“We should not even talk to them reconciliation is far sighted,” she added.
A division bench comprising Justice Aamer Farooq and Justice Mohsin Akhter Kiyani would heard petitions against their imprisonment sentence in Avenfield Property reference.
However, the Avenfield reference petition adjourned till September 8.
On Tuesday, the counsel for Maryam Nawaz and her husband Cap. (R) Muhammad Safdar filed application to fix his clients’ appeal in Avenfield Property reference after September 03.
“The opposition parties should think unitedly— ignoring the current government,” she said.
While taking about freedom of speech for media persons, the PML-N leader said, “Silencing media will not make any difference”.
PML-N Vice President Maryam Nawaz, while questioning the government's performance, said in last three years we have never heard of any news regarding reduction in flour and sugar prices
“The state of lawlessness is such that women are being abused in many places. The indifference is that neither the inflation nor the lawlessness cares,” said PML-N leader.
“So far, the nation knows who wasted whose time, there is no need to repeat,” she added.
Avonfield reference:
The Avonfield reference was to the Sharif family's flats in London in which the accountability court sentenced Nawaz Sharif to 10 years, his daughter Maryam Nawaz to 7 years and son-in-law Capt (retd) Muhammad Safdar to one year imprisonment.
The Islamabad High Court later suspended him.
