PM spurns suggestion to surge POL prices
Islamabad: Prime Minister Imran Khan on Monday has rejected Oil & Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) summary to increase petroleum products prices.
According to the details, OGRA had proposed an increase in petrol price by Rs14.07, high speed diesel by Rs13.61, kerosene by Rs10.79 and light diesel by Rs7.43. Rejecting the proposal, the Prime Minister said that the government to go any lengths to deliver relief to the people.
The Ministry of Finance in a notification said that the government has decided to maintain the prices of petroleum products. The prices of petroleum products will not change for the next 15 days. The current prices of petroleum products will remain the same till February 28.
