Islamabad: Prime Minister Imran Khan said Thursday that he called the International Monetary Fund (IMF) amidst the peak of the pandemic and gleaned special favor for the country’s construction sector.
The Prime Minister was addressing the Pakistan Property, Housing, and Construction Convention in the Federal.
“The construction sector of Pakistan is progressing and this industry has a penchant for creating jobs.”
“Now banks will provide funding for houses,” the PM noted.
He said that it was a farfetched dream of daily wagers to have their own houses.
“No one thought of providing houses to the poor.”
Imran Khan further articulated that all the raw material is available in Pakistan.
Moreover, he emphasized on the reforms in the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) are afoot.
“Naya (New) Pakistan is a name of perennial struggle.”
Khan further said that our foremost priority is to uplift the poor.
“In the past, no one had a thought of boosting the exports of the country,” said the premier.
“Topmost task is to enhance the exports of Pakistan by easing the matters for businesses.”
