Islamabad: The President of Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) Mian Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif and the Chairman Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Bilawal Bhutto Zardari discussed the country’s political developments in a telephonic conversation.

As per sources, issues pertaining to the appointment of the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) members were the focus of discussion. Both sides discussed matters of mutual interest and decided to chalk out names for new members of the ECP.
Special focus was paid to the increasing prices of grocery items and other political predicaments. Both leaders also discussed participating in the joint session of Senate and National Assembly on September 13.
Local media reported that the spokesperson of PML-N Marriyum Aurangzeb confirmed both parties will deliberate on the matter of ECP.
In retrospect, an exchange of acrimony has been witnessed between the members of PML-N and PPP. This talk is an act of rapprochement to pacify the relations among the opposition parties.
