WhatsApp to reveal new safety feature for Android, iOS users
WhatsApp is all set to release its new safety feature in the coming week. It would be an optional feature for Android and iOS users.

The new security feature will allow the operators to enable end-to-end encryption for the backup chats too.
Earlier it was only for the sending, transit and receiving messages through the application.
Leaving backups off guard allowed hackers to use them for their own interests. However, the storage would be encrypted too now.
“We’re adding another layer of privacy and security to WhatsApp: an end-to-end encryption option for the backups people choose to store in Google Drive or iCloud. WhatsApp is the first global messaging service at this scale to offer end-to-end encrypted messaging and backups, and getting there was a really hard technical challenge that required an entirely new framework for key storage and cloud storage across operating systems,” says Mark Zuckerberg.
