Lahore: In a shocking turn of events, a private torture cell has been unearthed at Mayo Hospital in Lahore— run by Zohaib, the general supervisor who used to arrest and torture people.

As per sources, Mayo Hospital’s Janitorial Staff Supervisor, Zohaib had been running the torture cell inside the medical institution where he used to torture the attendees of patients.
The harsh incident came to light after a video of him torturing patients’ attendees went viral on social media platforms.
As per reports, the alleged used to observe the patients and attendees on suspicion of theft and drug trafficking and tortured them.
In videos it can be seen clearly that the officials are allegedly kicking the victims with shoes—beating them up with folded hands to apologize.

After the release of these details, the Medical Superintendent (MS) at Mayo Hospital, Dr. Iftikhar, fired three workers who were suspected to be involved in this case including Zohaib.
“Physical violence and harassment is obnoxious,” Dr Iftikhar said.
“Janitor Supervisor was only assigned for the cleaning and was tasked with preventing unauthorized persons from entering the hospital at night, not for running private torture cells,” the MS stressed.
Moreover, a three-member investigative committee has been formed to probe the matter. The members of the committee are Additional Director Admin, Dr. Khalid Bin Aslam, as the chairman, while Additional Director Dr. Zubair Younis Butt and Office Superintendent Tehseen Zia Butt.
The inquiry committee will complete the investigation within 24 hours and submit a report to MS.
