Islamabad: The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has rejected nomination papers of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) senator Pervaiz Rasheed.

According to details, former information minister is a defaulter of Punjab House in Islamabad.
On the other hand, the PML-N leader has decided to challenge the decision of returning officer in tribunal.
Speaking to media, he said that people are being pressurized through money and other means to change their loyalties.
“They [government] have even made Election Commission a party. They are trying to keep me out of polls through a proper conspiracy. I am ready to pay the due amount. Even now when I go to submit the cash, there is no officer on seat to receive the amount. If this isn’t a conspiracy than what is?” he said.
The PML-N leader said that fake government of Imran Khan is lodging fake cases against opposition members.
"Imran Khan can't tolerate criticism. I criticize government hence efforts are being made to keep me out of the parliament. You can close the doors on me, but you can't stop my voice,” he said.
Earlier today, the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) had rejected the objections raised by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and accepted the nomination papers of former premier Yousuf Raza Gilani.
