Sri Lanka women’s team won’t be touring Pakistan following a change in the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) administration.

Sri Lanka women’s team won’t be touring Pakistan following a change in the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) administration.
The Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC), earlier this week, were pretty much confident about the tour comprising three ODI matches along a practice match.
The announcement was made by Sri Lanka women’s head coach Hasan Tillakaratne.
The Sri Lankan team was scheduled to leave for Pakistan on October 15, but the tour will not take place now, Tilaratne said.
In addition, the Sri Lankan women’s team has not played international cricket since October 2019.
SLC CEO Ashley de Silva mentioned that they’re hoping to have the tour simply earlier than the 2022 ODI World Cup that’s scheduled in March-April subsequent year.
The women’s teams of both the countries have been playing cricket against each other since 1998.
Meanwhile, PCB is working hard to start international cricket in the country. However, their efforts have not been very successful.
Earlier, New Zealand and England had canceled their tour of Pakistan.
The New Zealand team decided to return without playing a few hours before the start of series after which England also canceled Pakistan tour.
The Sri Lankan women’s cricket team was to tour Pakistan. But the tour has been postponed indefinitely.
