According to a notification issued by NEPRA, a fuel price adjustment will not be applicable to K-Electric consumers. Whereas the hike of Rs1.95 per unit is allowed for the monthly fuel adjustment charges in October electricity prices and will be applicable in the bills for October.
The increase in electricity prices will be implemented from October 2021, and these new prices are not applicable to line life electricity consumers, sources said.
After the hike of Rs. 1.95 per unit, electricity cost per unit will touch Rs.20.

The officials said that the increase in the cost of power generation was due to the unavailability of gas.
