The petitioner has filed the suit against SAPM Shahbaz Gill — stating that Gill made false and baseless allegations against the company in a private TV program.

Lahore: An accountable court in Lahore has Thursday issued an arrest warrant against Special Assistant to the Prime Minister Shahbaz Gill after a private company filed a defamation suit against him.
The petitioner has filed the suit against SAPM Shahbaz Gill — stating that Gill made false and baseless allegations against the company in a private TV program.
As per suit, Shahbaz Gill has caused a huge financial loss to the company.
A hearing was held in the Sessions Court Lahore on the prosecution against Shahbaz Gill today (October 28) and judge Hasnain Azhar Shah heard the case.
As Shahbaz did not manage to appear in the hearing, the court issued a warrant to arrest and ordered Shahbaz Gill to appear in person on November 1, 2021. The court remarked that they had been waiting for Gill's representative all day but he did not appear.
Shahbaz Gill should appear before the court after submitting a bond of Rs 30,000, the court further added.
Earlier this week, the Prime Minister’s aide alleged that the company has signed the project with the government at the rate of $3.68 per kilometer, out of which $1.85 per kilometer was paid to Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) leader Shehbaz Sharif’s son Suleman Shahbaz.
However, the petition stated that Shahbaz gill’s claims lacked evidence and sabotaged the company’s reputation leading to loss of millions of dollars.
