Quetta: At least twelve people have sustained injuries after an explosion rocked Quetta’s Kharan.
As per preliminary reports, the bomb was installed in a motorcycle and around five to four Kg explosives were used in the attack.
Rescue teams, Police and bomb disposal squad have also reached the spot of incident to carry rescue operations. The area has been cordoned off and a search operation is underway.
No loss of life has been reported in the incident, yet. The injured, however, has been shifted to nearby hospital.
Reportedly, a car and many shops were also damaged, following the explosion.
Meanwhile, Balochistan Chief Minister Abdul Qudus Bizenjo has condemned the attack and terming the attack as “an attempt of anti-nationalist organisations to disrupt peace".
It is pertinent to mention here that this is the third explosion in Balochistan within a week.
