Guru Nanak’s birth anniversary: Pakistan issues visas to 3000 Indian Sikh pilgrims
The three-day celebrations, known as Guru Nanak Gurpurab, will begin on November 17 at Nankana Sahib.


The three-day celebrations of the birth anniversary of Baba Guru Nanak will began on Wednesday (November 17) in Nankana Sahib with the arrival of 8,000 Sikh pilgrims from all over the world.
The ceremonies to mark the 552nd birth anniversary of Sikh faith founder Baba Guru Nanak Dev Ji will begin at Kartarpur Gurdwara Complex on Wednesday.
Thousands of Sikh Yatrees residing across the world and in India will attend the event.
Pakistan has already issued three thousand visas to Sikh Yatrees.
Meanwhile, the Sikh community in India has given a deadline of Friday to their government for reopening the Kartarpur Corridor.
During their stay in Pakistan, the Sikh community would pay obeisance at different Gurdwaras including Gurdwara Janam Asthan in Nankana Sahib and Gurdawara Darbar Sahib in Kartarpur.
The pilgrims will also visit other gurdwaras in the province.
More than 8,000 Sikh pilgrims from all over the world will visit Pakistan to celebrate the 552nd birth anniversary of the Sikh faith's founder, Guru Nanak Dev.
Every year, a large number of Sikh pilgrims from India and different parts of the world gather at the Gurdwara Janamasthan Nankana Sahib, the birthplace of Guru Nanak, in Pakistan’s Punjab province to mark his birth anniversary.
