Islamabad: Prime Minister, Imran Khan on Monday has said that those who are trying to hijack the Senate elections are non-democratic elements.

According to the details, Prime Minister, Imran Khan had a telephonic conversation with his Advisor on Parliamentary Affairs, Dr. Babar Awan.

Both the leaders had discussion over the parliamentary, constitutional and legal matters, including the upcoming Senate elections.

Matter of Opposition Leader in Sindh Assembly, Haleem Adil Sheikh’s arrest also came under conversation.

"Those trying to hijack the Senate elections are blot on the name of democracy" he said.

 He further added that open voting is the only solution to eliminate horse-trading during Senate-polls.

Premier is scheduled to visit Peshawar today where he will present a report on the defeat of Pakistan Tehreek-Insaf (PTI) in PK-63 by-elections.
