Dubai: Former Pakistan pacer Mohammad Amir has tested positive for Covid-19 ahead of Abu Dhabi T10 League which is slated to begin from November 19. He confirmed the news on social media on Thursday (November 18).
On his official twitter handle, the 29-year-old stated that he has been affected by Covid-19 following which he is obliged to miss Abu Dhabi T10 League.
"The weather in Lahore is not good these days, so I don't want to take any further risk regarding my health," said Amir.
"Alhamdulillah, the rest of the family members are completely fine," he added.
While urging fans for prayers, the national cricketer said that he is on his way towards recovery.

Mohammad Amir was a part of the franchise Bangla Tigers that also features the likes of Faf du Plessis, James Faulkner, Andre Fletcher and Hazratullah Zazai.
Amir, however, now will travel to Karachi on November 20 or 21 and then Dubai where he will prepare for the Lanka Premier League (LPL).
