Jalalpur Pirwala: A suspected dacoit was killed and another injured in an alleged encounter with police on Monday, near area of Saddar in Jalalpur Pirwala.

The district police claimed that the deceased suspect died in the firing by his own accomplices. The group was wanted by the police in several cases and raids.
Police also recovered a number of illicit arms and a motorcycle from the possession of the deceased and injured suspect.
Earlier on Sunday, two proclaimed offenders were killed while three others were taken into police custody following an encounter with police near Shumali Muhalla in Jhelum and Sindh police busted the gang of five wanted criminals in a gambling raid.
