PTI's Saifullah Abro sends legal notice to Liaquat Jatoi over false allegations
Islamabad: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) leader Liaquat Jatoi has been served a Rs. 2bn legal notice after he alleged that PTI's former Senate candidate Saifullah Abro was given a ticket by party for Rs. 350 million.

According to details, Liaquat Jatoi had accused PTI of selling party tickets in the Senate elections.
Referring to Saifullah Abro, he questioned the criteria on the basis of which ticket was given to a candidate who had joined party barely six months ago.
In response to Jatoi's accusations, Abro sent him a legal notice demanding proofs and evidence supporting his stance.
“Your statement is based upon political grudge as my client in a shortest period has worked for the welfare of the people of Sindh as well as of Pakistan and you due to political jealousy have made such false statement against my client which defamed my client in public at large," reads the notice.
It further reads, “Jatoi without any proof, leveled serious allegations, causing a serious loss to Abro’s honour, dignity and reputation.
Jatoi has been advised to tender an apology or pay Rs. 2 billion as damages within fourteen days of receipt of the legal notice otherwise legal proceedings will be initiated against him, notice reads.
Abro's nomination papers were not approved by the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) and so he will not be contesting for upcoming Senate elections.
