Dubai: The United Arab Emirates (UAE) on Tuesday has announced to change its weekend to Saturday and Sunday from January 1, 2022
According to details, the UAE government has decided to make Friday afternoon, Saturday and Sunday the new weekend.
The UAE’s government stated that "All federal government departments will move to the new weekend from January 1, 2022”.

Friday working hours have been limited to from 7:30 a.m. to 12 pm while on weekdays, working hours will be 7.30 am to 3.30 pm, the notification issued by the UAE government stated.
The reasoning behind the switch is to help the UAE align its systems with those of international business communities across the globe.
