Islamabad: Maulana Fazlur Rehman, head of the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) on Thursday rejected by-elections results in Daska NA-75, demanding from the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) to hold new polls.

“ECP has stopped the Daska result, it should announce its decision,” he said while talking to members of the press. “Polling officers were either complicit or helpless. We cannot accept NA-75 results,” the head of the Jamiat Ulema Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) said categorically.
“Results in Daska were changed through rigging. They took the candidate who was trailing at number three to the top position,” he alleged, adding that in the Kurram Agency by-poll held on the same day, 6 fake votes were detected.
It is pertinent to mention here that Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has reserved its verdict on NA-75 Daska by-elections case that will be announced today at 3:00pm.
It must be noted that ECP earlier had halted final results of NA-75 as some of the presiding officers were allegedly kidnapped in order to manipulate the election results.
