Blast in Quetta’s Shahra-e-Iqbal leaves one dead, several injured

Quetta: At least one person was killed and several were injured on Saturday in a blast that took place on the city's Shahrah-e-Iqbal.
According to the police sources, four vehicles on Shahrah-e-Iqbal were damaged as a result of the blast.
It was also reported that the blast took place due to explosive material planted in a motorcycle at Quetta’s Shahrah-e-Iqbal.
A bomb blast squad and security personnel reached to the scene and cordoned off the area. The search operation is also being conducted into the area.
Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Abdul Quddus Bizenjo condemned the incident, vowing that the government would ensure the best possible medical facilities for those injured.
DIG Fida Hussain said explosive material was affixed on the motorcycle, and that the police and the bomb disposal squad were currently investigating the blast.
Earlier in the day, eight person was killed and 12 people have been injured in an explosion occurred at the city's Sher Shah Paracha Chowk area.
The explosion occurred in site area near a private bank, resulting damage of other building situated in the area.
Police and rescue official rushed the explosion site.
Rescue officials are shifting the injured to the Civil Hospital for treatment. Among the 12 injured, two are said to be in critical condition.
