COVID-19 5th wave: Asad Umar advises people to follow SOPs
'World acknowledges NCOC's active role against COVID-19'
Islamabad: Minister for Planning and Development Asad Umar on Monday advised people to follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) for saving themselves from Coronavirus (Covid-19) which is currently spreading fast in the country.
The federal minister was addressing prize distribution ceremony among workers who rendered their best performance in the anti Covid vaccination drive.
Asad Umar said that Pakistan has created a history. “The biggest institutions of the World want to award National Command and Operation Center (NCOC) for performing the best during COVID-19. The whole nation has collectively made efforts for saving themselves from COVID-19.”
He added that the international community has acknowledged NCOC's active and commendable role against COVID-19.
He also commended the performance of doctors and other paramedical staff in the fight against pandemic.
The Minister said the government handled the pandemic with the support of the nation.
Chairman NCOC once again advised people to follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) for saving themselves from Coronavirus (Covid-19) which is currently spreading fast in the country. We should continue our fight against this pandemic by observing precautionary measures, including wearing masks.
He asked the people who completed their two doses to take the booster vaccine.
