Girl shot dead during party in Rawalpindi apartment

Rawalpindi: A girl was shot dead in shooting incident that took place in the vicinity of Airport area police station in Rawalpindi.

According to the police, a person opened fire during a party in the flat late at night, as a result of which the girl died.

It is also reported by the police that the girl was identified as Hina Khan, while the firing was done by a person named Waqar. The body of the girl has been shifted to the hospital for post-mortem.

The police stated that the investigation of the incident is going on to ascertain that who organized the party.

ECP makes monitoring center for people in by-elections

Islamabad: The election commission of Pakistan (ECP) has made an election monitoring and control center (EMCC) to facilitate the people in by-elections ahead on April 21.

According to the details, in this EMCC the facilitation will be provided to the people to register their complaints and to ask any query regarding the by-elections.

ECP stated that an immediate action will be taken on the complaints of the people. A trained staff has been appointed in EMCC.

The control centers have made on four levels for the immediate solution and to register the complaints of the people. The control rooms have made on district, divisional and provincial level except of Islamabad secretariat election commission.

Sugar price rises again in Lahore

Lahore: The price of sugar in Lahore has been increased by Rs4 per kg.

After the hike, the sugar started selling at Rs150 per kg in the markets.

The ex-mill price of per kg sugar rose to Rs142 and in the wholesale market to Rs144 per kg.

It is pertinent to note that sugar was sold at the rate of Rs133 per kg before Eid in Lahore.
