Court orders Azam Swati to appear before FIA

The court summoned the record of case from FIA against him on next hearing.

Lahore: The court has ordered Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) leader Azam Swati to be investigated by federal investigation agency (FIA) in the propaganda case against institutions.

According to the details, the case heard of uploading content on internet against the state institutions in session court.

The court approved the interim bail of Azam Swati till May 21 and stopped the police to arrest him by May 21. The court summoned the record of case from FIA against him on next hearing.

It should be noted that FIA registered case against Azam Swati due to uploading the content on internet amid state institutions.

LHC bars to arrest Fawad Chaudhry by May 3

However, the court stated that Fawad approached for extension in bail in 36 cases.

Lahore: The Lahore high court (LHC) has barred to arrest former federal minister Fawad Chaudhry by May 3.

According to the details, LHC’s justice heard the case regarding this matter. Fawad Chaudhry appeared in the court along with his lawyer.

The court issued written decree of granting security bail in 36 cases. It is stated in the written verdict that date of not apprehending Fawad Chaudhary will start from the day of the order of the chief justice.

However, the court stated that Fawad approached for extension in bail in 36 cases.

Number of seats of political parties in NA released

The number of PML-N members has increased to 120 while the number of SIC members has increased to 82.

Islamabad: The party position of the National Assembly has been released by the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP).

According to the Election Commission, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) is the largest party in the National Assembly, while the Sunni Ittehad Council (SIC) is the second largest party and Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) is the third largest party in the National Assembly.

It has been informed by the ECP that the number of PML-N members has increased to 120 while the number of SIC members has increased to 82.

According to the Election Commission, the number of seats in the National Assembly of the PPP has increased to 71, while the number of independent members is seven.

Mutahidda Qoumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) has 21 seats, Jamat-e-Ulema Islami (JUI) has 11 seats and Muslim League has five seats in the National Assembly.

According to the ECP, Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party (IPP) has four seats, Majlis Wahdat-e-Muslimeen (MWM), Pakistan Muslim League-Zia (PML-Z), Balochistan Awami Party (BAP) has one seat each.

Balochistan National Party (BNP), National Party and Pakhtunkhwa Milli Awami Party also have one seat each.
