Peshawar: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) intensified the operations against electricity theft and over-billing in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

According to the media reports, following the orders of Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, the FIA has intensified operations against electricity theft and over-billing in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

In the last few days, 335 raids were conducted against over-billing and 58 raids against electricity theft.

It is pertinent to note that Federal Minister for Energy Awais Leghari had written a letter to Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Ali Amin Gandapur to prevent electricity theft in the province.

In his letter, the federal minister had sought an appointment with Chief Minister Ali Amin to take measures to stop electricity theft, saying that the electricity losses in Peshawar Electric Supply Company (PESCO) and Tribal Areas Electric Supply Company (TESCO) are estimated at 188 billion rupees. A counter campaign can be made successful.

The federal minister had stated that one possible solution to the problem is that the provincial government prepares a comprehensive plan for recovery in TESCO areas, another possible solution is that the provincial government takes charge of power supply in TESCO areas.

Islamabad: Bushra Bibi—wife of founder Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan— is undergoing medical examination at a private hospital following the orders of the court.

According to the media reports, along with Bushra Bibi's personal physician Dr. Asim and a team of government doctors are also present in the private hospital. Bushra Bibi's legal team is also present in the hospital.

It is also reported that Bushra Bibi's stomach and blood tests are being conducted and her endoscopy is also being done.

Reports also suggest that apart from endoscopy, Bushra Bibi will also undergo other tests following the instructions of the doctor.

It is pertinent to note that yesterday, the accountability court, while accepting Bushra Bibi's request, ordered her to be tested in a private hospital within two days.

Karachi: Gilgit Baltistan assembly member Abdul Hameed Khan has joined Pakistan Peoples party (PPP).

According to the details, PPP’s leader Faisal Karim Kundi was doing a press conference regarding the current political situation of the country.

Faisal Karim stated that when Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) was in government then they were not ready to sit with anyone. If they want to make a noise then parliament is not the right platform.

He said that one can smoke, brought bands and dance on parliament’s floor even though no one can drink water so if PTI wants to show non-serious behavior they should contact to the other platforms.

On this occasion, another PPP leader also said that president Asif Ali Zardari has a unique political vision. Extra sugar is available in the country if it can be exported then the income can be earned.
