Intermediate final papers begin today

Lahore: The intermediate final papers have started today (Friday) which are arranged by the educational boards across the province.

In accordance with Lahore board officials, more than 1,95,600 candidates are attending the examinations. Six subjects of examinations are holding today.

The officials stated that more than 800 examination centers have made in Lahore division. The section-144 has imposed in the surrounding of examination centers.

However, a special squad has made to overcome the cheating. The essential service act implemented to make sure the staff duty.

On the other hand, a session chaired by chairman Lahore board Muhammad Ali Randhawa in which secretary board Bushra Ansari, examination controller and portal incharge were present.

Muhammad Ali directed that no student’s educational year should be wasted who had sent registration for board examinations.

Commissioner also allowed board administration to open the portal of the admission departments for the students so that they will send their admission without any delay.

Islamabad: The finance minister Muhammad Aurangzeb has attended a round table conference with the investors in Washington.

According to the details, Muhammad Aurangzeb highlighted the strong economic things of Pakistan in round table conference. He informed the investors about the strong growth of agriculture department, strong currency, reduction in inflation, strong supply of exports, resources to increase income and an immediate effect in stock market.

He stated that the country wants to include in the extensive and huge program with the international monetary fund (IMF). Government’s important priorities have exchanged regarding the privatization program in conference.

However, the discussion was also made in the conference on the government priorities on reforms in energy department and taxation.

Peshawar: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has decided to impose a fixed tax on wedding halls and beauty salons in the province from the next financial year.

The KP government has decided to divide salons and beauty parlors into different categories based on their size and volume of business, on which different fixed rates of sales tax on services will be applicable and the owners will pay their monthly tax to Commission for Accreditation of Park and Recreation Agencies (CAPRA).

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Finance Advisor said that for sales tax on services of the province, those who pay by credit card at restaurants, hotels will be taxed at 13 percent instead of 15 percent.

Revenue Authority Director General Fawzia Iqbal of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa met with Chief Minister's Advisor on Finance Department Muzammil Aslam and gave him a detailed briefing regarding CAPRA.

It was decided in the meeting that the owners of wedding halls and beauty parlors will be given the option to choose between fixed rates and percentage rates of sales tax on services after which they will pay their monthly tax CAPRA according to their chosen system. Will submit.

The finance adviser stated that strict legal action will be taken against the business person or organization involved in tax evasion. For these measures, amendments will be made in the KP Sales Tax on Services Act 2022.

Muzammil Aslam continued to say that the aim of these measures is to build confidence in the provincial government, taxpayers and the business community, while all decisions will be implemented after consultation with business organizations and representatives of the Chamber of Commerce.
