COAS addresses on Pak-UK regional stability

Rawalpindi: The chief of army staff (COAS) general Asim Munir has delivered the keynote speech at the conference on Pakistan-Britain regional stability at the national defense university.

According to the inter-services public relations (ISPR), a conference on Pakistan-Britain regional stability was organized at the national defense university in which COAS Asim Munir delivered the keynote address.

In the conference, the British chief of general staff Roland Walker was also present while the designated British chief of general staff Sir Patrick Sanders was also among the speakers. 

However, there were experts in various fields, defense officials, intellectuals and civil society representatives participated in the conference.

In accordance with the ISPR, Pakistan-Britain conference is an important defense dialogue between the two countries. A thirty-member delegation of Britain is visiting Pakistan from April 29 to May 3 for the conference.

The British delegation is led by the standing joint force commander major general Tom Bateman, the conference will discuss global and regional issues including national security, regional peace and stability.

In the conference, the COAS met with the British current and nominated chief of general staff in which issues of professional interest and issues of further development of bilateral defense relations were discussed.

Asim Munir thanked Patrick Sanders for his services in enhancing bilateral military relations.

Peshawar: The chief minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Ali Amin Gandapur stated that there is a need to make reforms in Punjab police because wearing uniforms do not solve the problems.

According to the details, Ali Amin Gandapur was talking to the media regarding to make the reforms in Punjab police.

He said that if he says something then everyone falls behind. He questioned that what was the economic and employment situation in Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) government and what was the performance of the PDM before and what is it now. 

CM KP further said that nothing is done with the usual conversation and Tik Tok. Punjab police remained an instrument in the worst rigging in the elections amid there is a need to bring reforms in the department.

CM Punjab shows determination to raise standards of living of Labors

Lahore: The chief minister (CM) Punjab Maryam Nawaz has paid tribute to Labors on the on international Labors' day.

She issued a statement on the international Labor day in which she stated that on this day she greets the workers of the world because the workers are friends of Allah Almighty. The religion of Islam gave greatness to hard work and consciousness of the dignity of the worker.

CM Punjab said that she pays special tribute to the working women who have become the support of the family by working hard. She salutes the struggle of the martyrs of Chicago for the awakening of the consciousness of the rights of the workers.

She also said that workers are the stars of industry and knowledge. Every worker, every laborer is a real hero. The commitment and enthusiasm of the worker is the basis of development and prosperity. Every building, every bridge, every highway and every project of the world includes the blood and sweat of the worker.

Maryam Nawaz added that she pledges to respect the rights of workers. The government is committed to raising the standard of living of workers and their prosperity.
