Higher education minister terms reports of ban on co-education as fake news
Higher Education Department has not issued any notification about co-education in colleges
Lahore: Minister for Higher Education Raja Yassir Humayun Sarfraz has termed the reports regarding ban on co-education as fake news on Thursday.
It is pertinent to mention here that the reports of ban on co-education in private colleges were reported on Wednesday and harshly criticized by the social media.
Following to the reports, the Punjab's Higher Education Department (HED) rejected these reports and guidelines in this regard had also been published on its website.
"Higher Education Department has not issued any notification about co-education in colleges. Please stop spreading fake news on media," Punjab Higher Education Minister Raja Yassir Humayun Sarfraz said in a tweet.
