PSL 2022: Karachi Kings set 175-run target for Multan Sultans
Kings won toss and choose to bat against Multan Sultans
Lahore: Karachi Kings set 175-run target for Multan Sultans in match number 23 of the Pakistan Super League's (PSL) seventh edition at Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium.
The Kings secured mammoth 174-runs for the loss of six wickets in 20 overs with all-rounder Imad Wasim scoring playing a quick-fire 32 runs not-out knock off just 16 balls after Kings skipper Babar Azam decided to bat first.
Karachi, who are going through a terrible PSL 2022 campaign having lost all the seven matches didn't have a good start in today's game either as Babar got out for just two runs to a brilliant delivery from left-arm pacer Rumman Raees.
Qasim Akram and Rohail Nazir were removed when Karachi had scored 118 runs.
Earlier, Kings won the toss and choose to bat against Multan Sultans. The Kings will try to find some comfort when they take on relaxed Multan Sultans.
The Babar Azam-led Karachi Kings are already out of contention in the tournament after creating an unwanted record of seven consecutive defeats. Multan Sultan, on the other hand, have already confirmed their place in the playoffs with 12 points from seven games.
The Kings will be hoping for some relief before the tournament officially ends for them. No team has lost eight matches in the league stages of the six-team PSL, and the Kings, surely, wouldn’t want to be the one.
