No-confidence motion: Joint Opposition demands SC's full court hearing into 'constitutional crisis'
The joint statement claims the united opposition had proved its clear majority in the Lower House on Sunday

Islamabad: The joint Opposition on Sunday said Imran Niazi had today committed open rebellion (coup) against the country and the Constitution-- the punishment of which is mentioned in Article 6 of the Constitution.
"Imran Niazi's revolt deserves less condemnation. Today is the darkest day in the history of the country in which rebellion against the constitution, democracy, law and political ethics have taken place," said a joint statement issued by the joint Opposition.
The statement strongly condemned the unconstitutional and non-parliamentary actions and attitudes of all government groups including the Speaker National Assembly and termed them unconstitutional.
The statement further said the united opposition had proved its clear majority in the Lower House while it has also become clear that the Opposition had a clear majority of the members of the House.
"The Opposition will like to thank all those members who listened to their conscience and followed the voice of the Constitution and the people of Pakistan."
The statement said that the Opposition members appreciated the move of the Chief Justice of Pakistan to take notice of the situation.
The Opposition welcomes the immediate intervention and issuance of the short order by the Chief Justice and his brother judges in view of the serious constitutional crisis.
"The united Opposition and 22 million people of Pakistan are hopeful that the Supreme Judiciary of Pakistan will stand by the Constitution and will decide on the crisis arising out of unconstitutional measures in a fair, just and constitutional manner."
The Opposition demanded that the full bench of the Supreme Court hear the unconstitutional government measures against the no-confidence motion in today's session of the National Assembly.
