Imran thanks supporters for protests against his ouster as PM
Public has emphatically rejected imported government led by crooks.
Islamabad: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan expressed gratitude to his supporters for their participation in rallies held across Pakistan and abroad to protest against his ouster as Prime Minister of Pakistan.
On his official twitter handle, former Prime Minister wrote, “Thank you to all Pakistanis for their amazing outpouring of support and emotions to protest against US-backed regime change abetted by local Mir Jafars to bring into power a coterie of pliable crooks all out on bail”.
He further added that the demonstrations show that public has emphatically rejected imported government led by crooks.
“Never have such crowds come out so spontaneously and in such numbers in our history,” he said in another tweet.
Protests broke out in different cities after 9 pm on Sunday and continued for several hours on the call of cricketer-turned Politian. The charged PTI supporters, including women and children, showed their solidarity with Khan during the rally.
Big gatherings were reported from several pasrts of country, including Faisalabad, Multan, Gujranwala, Vehari, Jehlum and Gujrat districts.
Islamabad and Karachi also witnessed major crowds of PTI supporters.
