Govt removes Nawaz, Zardari, PM Shehbaz, Maryam and others from ECL

Islamabad: The coalition government has removed names of more than 100 personalities from the Exit Control List (ECL), sources told GNN.

Under the new policy, the federal government removed the names of several important personalities from the exit control list.

The names removed from ECL include Nawaz Sharif, Maryam Nawaz, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Hamza Shahbaz of the Sharif family.

It has been reported that besides the Sharif family, the names of other league leaders expelled from ECL include Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, Ahsan Iqbal, Saad Rafique, Khoja Asif, Rana Sanaullah and others.

It has been reported that the government has removed the names of more than 100 people from the ECL, including former president Asif Ali Zardari and Faryal Talpur.

The names of all the persons who were removed from the exit control list were included in the list on the recommendation of FIA and NAB.

PTI leaders react

The PTI leaders strongly reacted over the government's decision to remove names of more than 100 personalities from ECL. 

Former Federal Minister for Information Fawad Chaudhry sarcastically said congratulations to the nation as new era of justice that had come in Pakistan would also forget the history of Muhammad Shah Rangeela.

Shahbaz Gul said in his tweet that name of the Prime Minister had been removed from the exit control list. "Those who should have been in jail are in the chair of the Prime Minister."
