Pakistan condemns terrorist attack on Afghanistan mosque
The blasts targeted two separate vehicles in Mazar-i-Sharif, the capital of Balkh province.
Islamabad: Pakistan has strongly condemned the terrorist attack on a mosque in Kabul which resulted in loss of several precious lives.
Foreign Office (FO) spokesperson Asim Iftikhar Ahmad, in a statement, said we offer our deepest condolences and sympathies to families of the bereaved and pray for early recovery of the injured.
The spokesperson said we express support and solidarity to the Afghan brethren in effectively countering the challenge of terrorism.
In Afghanistan, at least nine people killed and 13 others injured in two explosions, within minutes of each other.
The blasts targeted two separate vehicles in Mazar-i-Sharif, the capital of Balkh province.
According to police chief, the victims of the attack were travelling home to break their dawn-to-dusk Ramadan fast.
The ISIL (ISIS) group later claimed responsibility for the attack in a post on its Telegram account.
