Hot, dry weather expected in most parts of country

Islamabad: Hot and dry weather is expected in most parts of the country, while very hot in plain areas during the next twelve hours.
Temperature of some major cities recorded this morning:
Islamabad nineteen degrees centigrade, Lahore twenty-six, Karachi twenty-eight, Peshawar twenty-two, Quetta seventeen, Gilgit fifteen, Murree thirteen and Muzaffarabad twenty degrees centigrade.
According to Met office forecast for Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir, partly cloudy with chances of rain-thunderstorm is expected in Srinagar, Leh, Pulwama, Anantnag, Shopian, and Baramulla while partly cloudy in Jammu.
Temperature recorded this morning:
Srinagar and Pulwama twelve degree centigrade, Jammu twenty-three, Leh eight, Anantnag and Baramulla thirteen, and Shopian eleven degrees centigrade.
On the other hand, Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has issued a heatwave warning from today and advised the public to avoid unnecessary exposure to direct sunlight.
The spokesperson said due to high pressure, day temperatures are likely to increase gradually from 06 to 09°C above normal in most parts of the country.
The spokesperson said very hot and dry weather may cause water stress on water reservoirs, crops, vegetables, and orchards.
