Zardari lays condition of Sharif's return for long-march, resignations, says Arif Hameed Bhatti
Lahore: Former president and Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) co-chairman Asif Zardari has placed the condition of Pakistani Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) supremo Nawaz Sharif’s return to Pakistan for tendering the resignations and holding the long march.
Speaking in GNN programme ‘Khabar Hai’, senior journalist and analyst Arif Hameed Bhatti said that PPP has taken a principle stance on former PM’s return to the homeland. Further, Asif Ali Zardari has conveyed to PML-N that PPP would only stand by Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) is Nawaz Sharif lands back in Pakistan.
PML-N social media cell is being instructed to start a dedicated campaign against former President Asif Ali Zardari, he added.
The seasoned journalist said that PDM was not an alliance but a nexus to overthrow Imran Khan's elected government and evade accountability.
If words being used by Maryam Nawaz would have been uttered by Hamza Shahbaz and Shahbaz Sharif then a formation of the alliance would be smelled but Hamza Shahbaz is not ready to follow Maryam’s line, he added.
